Dmitry Malyukevich, Counsel in the Dispute Resolution Practice, participated in the Litigation Forum organised by Pravo.ru
On 18 November, the Litigation Forum hosted a lively discussion on what drives success in the courtroom. Distinguished speakers and delegates explored the most relevant challenges and trends in litigation practice.
During the event, invited speakers likened the court process to a game of "Battleship", where it is necessary to calculate and anticipate all the opponent's moves while conserving maximum resources. This raises numerous questions: What exactly is required to successfully conduct this legal "game"? Is the mere existence of documentation, optimal resource allocation, and mastery of a complex set of professional skills - both hard and soft - sufficient?
These and many other questions are encountered in the work of every litigation lawyer. This is why Dmitry Malyukevich, Counsel in the Dispute Resolution Practice, decided to share his insights by presenting a report titled: "Quality Control in a Law Firm: Are There Clear Criteria for Evaluating Litigation Work?" The main message of Dmitry's presentation was that one should not forget that a lawyer is not a magician, but a good lawyer knows how to create order out of chaos.
We thank the organisers for the opportunity to participate in the event.
